COMMUNITY SERVICES AND ENGAGEMENT

Here at SJIS, we believe in the social and corporate responsibility of every community member to contribute back to society, and to leave a lasting positive impact on the world. This creates holistic global citizens, with greater academic and social achievements. Students are encouraged to use the skills and knowledge learned through classes, clubs or character formation and leadership projects to give back to the community. When schools have strong relationships with families and community organisations, they create an environment that has a greater impact on students.

SJIS has various community service and humanitarian aid partners, including NGO-s like Eden Community Services Centre & ROCK House Community Services.

Part of nurturing global citizens includes exposing students to the beauty, variety and diversity of the world. SJIS makes every effort to provide opportunities for our students to engage with others on an international level. As part of this effort, SJIS has a standing Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Handong Global University (HGU) in South Korea, offering various opportunities for collaboration through exchange programs, and Annual Summer Leadership Camps.

SJIS also takes every opportunity to expose students through visiting international students, cultural exchanges and providing options for tertiary studies at international institutions.
